Legacy Weekend
Legacy Weekend celebrated and reflected on the past year, honoring William & Mary’s first African American residential students — Lynn Briley '71, Karen Ely '71, and Janet Brown Strafer '71, M.Ed. '77 — as well as other pioneering African Americans with a culturally rich lineup of events from soulful storytelling to musical entertainment to thought-provoking discussions and a keynote address. It was the culminating weekend commemorating a significant milestone in William & Mary’s history.
