"WE HAVE COME,” performed by Onawumi Jean Moss, Soulful Storyteller
A jubilant, moving and interactive storytelling homage to the “can’t stop…won’t stop” spirit of unsuspecting undergraduate pioneers – African American women whose intellect, wit, character and faith transformed them into historic “way-makers” at William & Mary (1967-Present). The songs Lift Every Voice and Sing and Turn the World Around were performed by past and current members of Ebony Expressions Gospel Choir and the Botetourt Chamber Singers, under the direction of Dr. Jamie C. Bartlett and accompanied by Assistant Professor of Pharmacy Practice and trained pianist Deborah Hudson.
