When the Commonwealth of Virginia announced that eVA, the current state electronic procurement system, would be replaced, W&M undertook an evaluation of its options. The benefits of pursuing a university solution, as opposed to adopting the solution the Commonwealth would eventually select, were compelling. Several of our peer institutions in the Commonwealth had already adopted their own systems with success. After an in-depth review, W&M entered into an agreement with JAGGAER (formerly SciQuest), a well-established procure-to-pay solution provider in many market sectors, including education. Their highly configurable, cloud-based solution provides enhanced internal and external user experiences and many opportunities for improved efficiency.
Procure-to-pay systems include all of the business functions that support the procurement lifecycle including:
