Faith Stilwell

A lover of literature and all forms of art, Faith Stilwell is a senior English major at William & Mary, with a minor in East Asian Studies. As the youngest in a military family, Faith's childhood was filled with the excitement of traveling to new places. Finding home with each move, a piece of Faith's heart lies in each country she has lived in, from Australia, to Germany, to Norway. Visiting countries all throughout Europe, Faith developed a love for learning about different cultures and their histories at an early age, and has pursued that love throughout her life. After moving back to the United States at ten years old, Faith's family settled in Northern Virginia, where she pursued her interests in writing, music, and art. In highschool, she published several short stories and articles, both in print and online, worked at a used bookstore, and spent her free time in her room, writing novels, crafting dramatic poetry, and listening to emo music. Faith has also played a variety of sports, from swimming in middle school, to getting her black belt in Tae-Kwon-Do at 13, to becoming the Captain and voted MVP of her varsity volleyball team. After graduating highschool, Faith attended Grove City College for two years of undergraduate, where she published short stories and poetry in literary magazines, was involved in several activist clubs, and worked as a poetry section editor for the campus magazine, The Quad. Transferring to William & Mary her junior year, Faith has further pursued her passions for art and literature, writing poetry, acting in a performance of Hamlet, and studing the history of music and subcultures. On any given day, Faith can be found reading, nestled into a nook at the library or tucked away in a window seat.
