Give to the Honor Council
Financial Support for the Council
The Honor Council largely is funded with private gifts and donations. Your support allows the Council to provide more outreach and educational programming, improved training, and opportunities for the students to obtain professional development off campus, including presenting programs showcasing the work of the Council and highlighting our achievements and initiatives.
How to Give to the Council
You can participate by designating your gift to William & Mary to support of the Council. You can designate a gift at impact.wm.edu/honorcouncil. We thank you for your support of the Council and of the community of trust.
Recent Initiatives Funded
In the last several years, we have been able to improve our training and education of members substantially by providing training retreat days and participation at regional and international conferences. Our students recently hosted a state-wide honor conference at W&M attended by 60 attendees from eight institutions. We also featured Slate.com columnist Mallory Ortberg as our keynote speaker during Ethics Week.
In recent years, students have attended the International Center for Academic Integrity Conference and presented on international student issues regarding academic integrity and prevention efforts to address them.
Future Initiatives
The Council hopes to turn its funded initiatives to prevention efforts, particularly in the areas of plagiarism prevention, faculty support for academic integrity, and international student education.
