Minors in the Joint Programme
It's possible to earn a W&M minor with your Joint Degree
Joint Programme students may earn one W&M minor. You are responsible for pursuing a minor: for understanding the requirements and procedures. You should consult with an advisor in the department or program of the minor. Major advisors for the JDP are not responsible for advising on minors.
Courses taken at St Andrews may be used toward minor requirements with the permission of the relevant department or program. Students typically declare minors in their third or fourth years. Per W&M policy, students may count only two courses in common for the major and the minor (for example, a student pursuing an English major and a Film Studies minor may count only two courses with the ENGL prefix toward the minor).
To date, students in the Joint Degree programme have completed minors in Africana Studies, Arabic, Art History, Economics, Environmental Science, and Sociology.
