Ask a Research Ambassador

Our Research Ambassadors are two undergraduate students with strong research backgrounds dedicated to helping other students have meaningful research experiences of their own. Connect with them in person, on Zoom, or via email with questions about:

  • Exploring research interests
  • Finding a faculty mentor
  • Learning about funding opportunities
  • Applying for research grants
  • Publishing and presenting your work
Fall 2024 Drop-in Hours (beginning the week of September 2nd)

**Please note: hours will be by appointment only the week of December 9th. No drop-in hours will be held during fall finals.**

Meet the Ambassadors 

Amy Browning '26

Amy is a junior majoring in International Relations and minoring in Data Science. Her research areas include AI and nuclear weapons, global development, and state cyberattack usage. She is part of the Joint Degree Programme and loves to travel. She also enjoys reading, spending time outdoors, and getting involved in events on campus!

 

Emily Larsen '25

Emily is a senior majoring in Biology and minoring in studio art. She has been a member of the Shakes developmental biology lab for 3 years and is passionate about helping students find research opportunities. In addition to biology, she has also participated in art research through the Rome Art Program this past summer. She is open to any and all questions about STEM research or art opportunities at William & Mary!
