You've done your research, now take the next step.
Tell us your story. We want to learn more about who you’ve been, who you are and who you’ll become in college. Numbers will inevitably be part of your story, but we’re also interested in your ambition, your drive and your talents.
William & Mary practices holistic review; decisions are not based solely on one aspect of your application (Common App). Rather, we review your essays, letters of recommendation, extracurricular involvements, and yes, those numbers like GPAs and standardized test scores (which are optional). Each application is read at least twice, including once by your regional counselor. At the end of this process, our goal is to bring together a class of dynamic, diverse and academically engaged students.

Applying as a Part-Time Student
Transfer and first-year student applicants may be eligible for admission as FlexTrack students if they live within 30 miles of our Williamsburg campus, meet the usual admission standards of the university, and can show compelling reasons why full-time status is not feasible. A part-time degree student must earn a minimum of 12 hours each year (two semesters and a summer term) and is limited to 10 credit hours the first semester at the university.
Applying as a Veteran
William & Mary is pleased to waive the application fee for anyone who has served honorably in the armed forces of the United States. Please select the applicable fee waiver on the Common App. The Student Veterans of William & Mary is a good resource providing information about admission, financial aid, housing and more. As questions arise about using your VA benefits, contact the Office of the University Registrar.
