John Scherpereel is a Professor of Political Science at James Madison University in Harrisonburg, VA (USA). He has published widely on executive politics, territorial politics, political representation, and European politics. He is currently pursuing research projects on the European Commission, the European Central Bank, the Canadian executive, and the US electoral college. Scherpereel is president of JMU’s chapter of Phi Beta Kappa and coordinator of the university’s minor program in Modern European Studies.
