John is the director and one of the founders of Atlantic Forum (www.Atlantic-Forum.com) a grassroots start-up NGO promoting NATO and the transatlantic values of the Washington Treaty. Atlantic Forum works closely with NATO PDD.
Previously, John was the president of the Youth Atlantic Treaty Association (2016-2018) and between 2015 and 2019 he was an active member for the Dutch Branch YATA Netherlands. When not involved with NATO Youth engagement, John is a Captain in the Royal Netherlands Army and currently serving as the aide de camp to the Chief of Staff of the Netherlands Defense Academy.
