Birgy Lorenz is a senior scientist at Tallinn University of Technology (TalTech/Estonia) in cybersecurity-related on awareness (common people cyber hygiene aka security behaviour, children/teachers/parents skills on digital safety). She leads many awareness projects where she works with teachers and cybersecurity young talents (aka. hackers). Her project CyberOlympic (competitions, training camps) has received acknowledgment form Informatic Europe 2018 and Science populizer award from Estonia 2022. She has been a teacher of the year in EU 2009, Estonia 2010 and 2017. She is also alumni of US Fulbright Program (2017).
