William & Mary's Counseling Center is committed to the training of future psychologists who engage in sound ethical practice and provide culturally competent clinical services for the students on Campus. The Counseling Center provides two levels of training: an Advanced Practicum Training Program and an APA-accredited Doctoral Internship Program in Health Service Psychology. Clinicians in training are considered an integral part of the staff and are included in all functions of the agency. Professional development is fostered within the context of a service-delivery system. The staff is dedicated to excellence in service training.
The Center also values diversity, inclusion and social justice issues. Attention to multicultural factors is infused throughout all aspects of the training programs. Please see the link below for more information on the university's commitment to issues of diversity.
