Safe Hire Training
Anyone serving on a Search Committee or interview panel is required to complete Safe Hire training every two years. The focus of the training program is to reduce poor hiring decisions and liability from improperly conducted employment searches. Interview questions that are unsafe, illegal, or just not appropriate, can result in legal costs, and unflattering perceptions from prospective employees and students. Completing the training will assist you in conducting a your search in a safe and productive manner.
Safe Hire Training is located in Cornerstone. Log in using your William & Mary ID and password. In the search box, type "safe hire." There are two versions of safe hire training available: a PowerPoint presentation or a narrated video. Either one will satisfy your training requirement.
Questions can be directed to your Employment Specialist working with you on the search. Or, you can e-mail your question to [[AskHR]].
