The {{http://www.wm.edu/sites/facultylecture/,Tack Faculty Lecture Series}} enables the community to attend lively educational presentations by W&M professors.{br}{br}Dr. Ann Marie Stock, Professor of Hispanic Studies and Film & Media Studies, lectured on filmmaking in Cuba. We created an illustration inspired by Cuban movie posters which was used in the presentation, poster and program.
Poster and program for Barbara King's lecture "Wild Grief/Untamed Love: Emotions in the Animal World" that features an illustration comprised of multiple animals.
Professor of Music Katherine K. Preston presented on nineteenth-century America's most well-known English-language opera singer, Emma Abbott. For the poster and program, we combined imagery from two seemingly contrasting subjects – American patriotism and opera.
Adam Potkay, Professor of Humanities presented a lecture called "Pity and Gratitude" and we used art that he references as imagery for the event.
We designed a graceful curved die cut to imitate ocean waves in the lecture program for "From Plankton to Planet," by Professor of Marine Science, Deborah Steinberg.
