Faculty Qualifications
SACSCOC requires that W&M be able to demonstrate the qualifications of each faculty member to teach the courses that they are assigned to teach. This requirement applies to all full-time faculty, part-time/visiting faculty, and graduate assistants serving as instructor of record. This includes maintaining copies of official transcripts, as well as additional justification information whenever necessary.
The Office of Institutional Accreditation & Effectiveness oversees the “Faculty Qualifications Justifications” process each term, working with individuals in the deans’ offices to document relevant information for each faculty member based on the courses taught during that term.
