Community Affairs
The Office of Government & External Affairs works to represent the University, forging connections with the private and public sectors that encourage collaborative research, promoting community engagement and economic development in the region, and advancing the University’s priorities. 
Government & External Affairs is committed to being a strong regional partner, working with industry, government, community groups, and academia to create positive economic impact and sustainable prosperity for the region. In collaboration with W&M and VIMS leadership, Government & External Affairs drives the strategic direction of regional and community relations, corporate partnerships, and economic development and engagement programs, including advocacy efforts at the local and regional levels.
