Military Benefits & Payments
Armed Forces Tuition Assistance (TA)
Tuition Assistance is a benefit paid to eligible members of the armed services to help them with their tuition expenses. Each service branch has its eligibility criteria, obligated service, application processes, and restrictions. All approved TA authorizations must be submitted to the William & Mary Bursar's Office before the eBill statement due date.
To comply with the policy of the Department of Defense Memorandum of Understanding (MOU), William & Mary will return any unearned military TA funds proportionally through at least the 60 percent portion of the period for which they were provided. Please visit the Military Tuition Assistance (TA) section of our Refunds webpage for more information.
Veteran & Dependent Benefits
Certification for educational benefits is a service provided by the Office of the University Registrar. This office will assist students with processing Department of Veterans Affairs (VA) forms for educational benefits, provide guidance about specific procedural requirements, and submit enrollment certifications for each semester to the VA. Please refer to the 'Using Veterans Benefits webpage for detailed information on receiving your educational benefit.
