Materials and waste management gives opportunity to improve campus sustainability, prevent greenhouse gas emissions and reduce costs. William & Mary has committed to establish baseline metrics as a key foundation for a successful sustainable waste reduction practice.
Monthly campus total of tons of waste and recycle.
Total tons of recycle includes campus single stream recycling, compost, and other waste material diverted from landfill. In 2019, we have diverted 17% of waste to protect our environment.
