Big Interview

Big Interview is an online, customizable interview preparation software and a free service for William & Mary graduate students. Typically, a screening interview for employment – academia and beyond – will likely be in a virtual format, and Big Interview’s AI (artificial intelligence) module will help you understand how to be successful in a virtual interview. In fact, W&M users have improved their interview style and effectiveness by an average of 35% through the use of Big Interview. If you’ve never used Big Interview before, register and use your W&M credentials to create an account.

LinkedIn Learning

LinkedIn is an excellent tool for the job search. It helps you build your brand and expand your network, while remaining informed of news and happenings in your field of work. Thanks to William & Mary Libraries, graduate students have access to LinkedIn Learning, an online educational platform that helps you attain certifications, and also discover and develop skills and learning paths that can further enhance your candidacy for future opportunities.

Portfolio Services

Interfolio is an online dossier service platform that provides storage for confidential letters of recommendation and application materials. Account holders can schedule deliveries of their application materials electronically or by mail. Account holders can also search for jobs, grants and fellowships. myIDP – Science Careers
myIDP – Science Careers is a free web-based career-planning tool tailored to meet the needs of PhD students and postdocs in the sciences. Designed for the purpose of career advancement, myIDP – Science Careers offers self-assessment, goal-setting, and mentoring.
InterSECT Job Simulations

Created in collaboration with Imagine PhD, InterSECT Job Simulations provides multiple job simulations for a variety of career fields, and offers a specific link for those focused on the humanities.
