Community-Engaged Learning
W&M Civic & Community Engagement (CCE) connects William & Mary and the community to support students’ development as active and educated citizens and to promote positive, community-driven social change. Their vision is that students will prioritize working within and understanding community in a lifelong pursuit of social justice.

Branch Out Alternative Breaks
Join a team and travel during fall, winter, or spring break to engage in service-based learning in partnership with host communities, while connecting with new people and developing skills in issue-based action.
Education Programs
Through sustained partnerships with local schools and community organizations, our William & Mary students support the cognitive, social, emotional, and academic development of participating youth.
Williamsburg Engagement
Through regular involvement in local community engagement, Williamsburg can be so much more than an address during your four years here: it can be your community.
Student Funding
CCE provides multiple opportunities for students to seek funding which supports their work in community, including Community Engagement Grants, Branch Out Reorientation Grants, and Funded Local Internships.
