Submitting Your Application
Even when you meet all the requirements for guaranteed admission, and are co-enrolled, you must complete the application to W&M.
We recognize that some students may not meet the requirements spelled out in the Guaranteed Admission Agreement. You may still be considered for admission by following the standard transfer student application procedure. Students transferring from a community college with a transfer-oriented associate degree and a cumulative GPA above 3.5 in the last year are generally competitive applicants.
If you have not completed the associate's degree, admission to W&M is not guaranteed. To be a competitive candidate, you should have a well-rounded program of study and a cumulative GPA of around 3.4 in VCCS. You should plan your college courses carefully using the VCCS Course Equivalencies (pdf) to maximize the course credits that can transfer to W&M.
