Project Details
Project Details: There is a long and rich history of industrial democracy in the United States, ranging from various forms of employee voice and participatory decision-making, to union-based collective bargaining, to cooperative ownership models. In this project Professor Hanley and students examine what workplace democracy looks like today, focusing on the way disputes are navigated in the public sector, varying forms of legal consciousness at work, and opportunities to advance equity and justice through conflict resolution practices. Students will assist in quantitative data analysis to uncover best practices and help Professor Hanley develop tools to empower workers and support democratization of employment and labor law.
