Cari (Guthrie) Cho '90 (BA) I have been working in community mental health and substance use programs since I left William and Mary. I have worked on inpatient psychiatric hospital units, capitated programs, residential, outpatient clinics, and case management. I went on to get my MSW and am a licensed social worker in Maryland. Currently I am the Chief Operating Officer for Threshold Services, Inc., a private non profit agency in Montgomery County. We provide a variety of services for adults with mental health or both mental health and substance use disorders in the public mental health system. I oversee daily operations for approximately 1000 clients. We have two outpatient mental health centers with psychiatrists and therapists, over 100 residential clients, and over 100 case management clients. I have facilitated the implementation of a variety of evidence based practices including Integrated Dual Disorder Treatment, Family Psychoeducation, Illness Management and Recovery, Supported Employment, Cognitive Behavioral Therapy, Dialectical Behavioral Therapy, and Motivational Interviewing. While we have been challenged by the current economic environment, we are committed to providing quality services. (09/10)

John Hall '90 (BS) I was hired as Health Behavior Coordinator by the Fayetteville NC VA Medical Center. My duties are as coach-in-chief to the primary care service so that they can better help the 50,000 veterans they serve meet their health promotion and disease prevention goals. I also do health-related evaluations and coaching for veterans with the most severe obstacles. I still maintain a small private practice in Charlotte on my days off from Fayetteville. (09/11)
John Hall '90 (BS) Got a Ph.D. in clinical psychology from the University of Louisville in 1995. Since then have worked in university counseling centers, corporate managed care offices, and now have a private practice in Charlotte, NC. Consult on research programs in HIV and disability. Train other mental health professionals on HIV-related topics through the APA HOPE program. Was a member and then chair of APA's committee on continuing education providers. (10/09)
Greg Gresko '92 I use my psychology so much in my current field as a Catholic priest and educator. I especially use a lot of the work we did at W&M in Close Relationships ... It's been invaluable especially when doing pastoral counseling, and needless to say also in living religious life in community! (11/10)
Nannette (Wood) Roach '93 (BA) I received my Ph.D. in clinical psychology from the University of Mississippi in 2002. I opened a private practice office in south central Iowa in 2007. (10/09)
Carrie (Lundgren) Bailey '94 (BS) '09 (PhD) I received my doctorate in Counselor Education this year after returning to my undergrad alma mater (B.S. Psychology, 1994) ... and just began as Assistant Professor of Counselor Education at Georgia Southern University in Statesboro, GA. (10/09)
Carmen Lynch '94 (BS) I'm a stand up comedian in New York City. I have to use my psychology degree every day, when I write material about myself (it's not always pretty). Then at night, I have to use it on the audience (who are these people? what do they want from me? why are they staring at me like that? etc.) If show goes well, I'm okay. Brian Borsari '95 (BS) I received my PhD in clinical psychology from Syracuse University in 2003. I am currently an Associate Professor in the Department of Behavioral and Social Sciences and the Department of Psychiatry and Health Behavior at Brown University. My research interests include the development and implementation of brief motivational interventions with college student drinkers, the social influences on alcohol (e.g., modeling and norms), and in-session processes of motivational interviewing related to behavior change. In 2007, I joined the Posttraumatic Stress Disorder (PTSD) Program at the Providence Veterans Affairs Medical Center as a clinical psychologist. My research interests there involve the assessment and treatment of PTSD and co-morbid substance use disorders, improving sleep in veterans through the implementation of Cognitive Behavioral Therapy for Insomnia (CBT-I), and working with veterans who are attending college. Kerry M. (Pisacane) Green '95 (BS) is currently an Assistant Professor of Behavioral and Community Health at the University of Maryland School of Public Health in College Park, MD. She earned her PhD from Johns Hopkins Bloomberg School of Public Health in 2000 and currently lives in Bethesda, MD with her husband, Kevin, and two children, Sienna (4) and Asher (2). She reports that Dr. Galano's community psych class was the impetus for her pursuing graduate work and a career in public health. (11/10)
Misha (Roane) Marvel '95 (BA) Thanks to Dr. Galano's Community Psych class and Dr. Shean's thoughtfulness during my Honors Thesis work ('94-'95), I became acutely interested with prevention programs and issues. I now use my MSW with the Nutrition Consortium of NYS to advocate for federal nutrition programs to prevent hunger in NYS. Many thanks to you both! (10/09)
Allen Grove '96 (BA) I'm a clinical psychologist with the U.S. Navy, stationed in Yokosuka, Japan. I work with sailors, Marines, some soldiers and airmen, as well as dependents (spouses and children of service members), contractors, and civilians. (3/11)
Amber (Hard) Bond '98 (BS) I live in the Chicago area with my husband and 2 young sons. I'm also proud to be the Administrative Director of the Institute for Therapy through the Arts, a Creative Arts Therapy Practice in Evanston. Anita Sim '98 (BS) After W&M, I went on to complete my PhD in Clinical Psychology (with an emphasis in neuropsychology) in 2006. I then went on to complete a 2-year postdoc in Neuropsychology at the lesser VA institution we all know as UVa (boooooo :)). I am now working on staff as a clinical neuropsychologist at the Minneapolis VA Medical Center, primarily seeing soldiers returning from Iraq & Afghanistan. (3/10)
