Lang Legacy Scholarship
The Lang Legacy Scholarship was established in 2014 through the generosity of the Lang family, in memory of Richard, Ellen and Poppy Lang. Two scholarships are awarded in the fall semester of each year, to senior English majors who are judged to be among the most academically distinguished in their cohort.
In the fall semester, the English Department Prizes Committee will contact selected students and ask them to submit writing samples for consideration by the committee. The winners will be announced by the end of the fall semester.
Past winners are:
2020: Alexa Kelly, Emily Zheng
2019: Maxwell Cloe, Angela Rose West
2018: Liza Buell, Peter Makey
2017: Charlotte DeForest, Meilan Solly
2016: Lydia Brown, Stuart Mapes
