Pilgrimage, Racial Injustice, and Experiential Learning
The Institute for Pilgrimage Studies invites you to join us on Friday, May 28th from 1 – 2:15 pm for presentations from two professors who have taken students on Civil Rights trips: Alexandra Reckendorf, Assistant Professor of Political Science and Associate Chair of Virginia Commonwealth University’s Department of Political Science, and Jackson Sasser, Lecturer of Government at William & Mary. Sasser and Reckendorf will speak about planning, curriculum, and share their experiences of traveling with students to sites of memory related to racial injustice and protest.
