Black Faculty & Staff Forum Transition Team
Role of the Transition Team
Consisting of the remaining elected officers and like-minded volunteers from various departments on campus, the Transition Team was formed to revitalize and reimagine the scale and scope of the W&M Black Faculty & Staff Forum (BFSF).
Guiding Themes
With the input of the campus community via focused interest meetings, five guiding themes were developed that encompass the BFSF's mission on campus:
- Advocacy & Awareness
- Connection & Networking
- Personal & Professional Development
- Recruitment & Retention
- Speakers & Events
Takeover Team
Because there is demonstrated interest from the W&M community and administration to support the continuance of the BFSF, the Transition Team will make way for more permanent leadership. This group will assume governing of the organization, working closely with constituents and administration to ensure its success. A planned election will take place during the Fall 2022 semester.
