Satoshi Ito
Satoshi Ito was an Instructor in Sociology and Anthropology, 1965-1966; Assistant Professor of Sociology, 1966-1971; Associate Professor of Sociology, 1971-2002; and an Emeritus Professor from 2002 forward at William & Mary.
In his youth, he was sent to a Japanese American internment camp in Arkansas during World War II. After leaving William & Mary, Professor Ito became involved with many organizations, including the Anti-Racism Commission, Diocese of Southern Virginia, the New Kent County Democratic Committee and the Human Rights Committee of Eastern State Hospital.
