Kimberley Phillips
Kimberley Phillips served as a faculty member at William & Mary for nearly 15 years. She was director of American studies and served as Frances L. and Edwin L. Cummings associate professor of history and American studies.
She also served for two years as dean for educational policy in Arts & Sciences. In that role, she oversaw undergraduate curriculum, student research, the Study Abroad Program and the Freshman Writing Seminar.
In 2010 she was appointed co-chair of the Lemon Project Committee, a multiyear effort to better understand the role of race in the university's history, including its connections to slavery.
