WMGIC x NATO ACT Cybersecurity Challenge
WMGIC x NATO ACT Cybersecurity Challenge
What: Teams will develop viable solutions to the cybersecurity case competition presented to them on the day of the event. The case is based on current global threats and conflicts. This case was written and reviewed by the team of WMGIC alongside the William & Mary Whole of Government Center of Excellence (WGC) and the North Atlantic Treaty Organization (NATO) Allied Command Transformation (ACT).
Why: The Challenge is a "hack-a-thon" style case competition hosted by students, for students. We believe that students have creative perspectives on important issues, and this is a chance to showcase those innovative capabilities. Through the challenge itself and opportunities for mentoring, the challenge will build interdisciplinary cooperation between students, policymakers, researchers, and experts in order to leverage global resources.
Who: Competing teams will be composed of 3-5 undergraduate students from any major. This challenge is open to students in universities nationwide and internationally. The entire event is conducted in English and specifically for undergraduates. The competition is open to students from all academic disciplines. All levels of experience are welcome to participate.
This WMGIC and NATO ACT event is sponsored by the Cybersecurity Youth Apprenticeship Initiative and the Whole of Government Center of Excellence.
