Keith J. Masback is Owner & Principal Consultant at Plum Run LLC, providing strategic advisory services to startups working in geospatial intelligence and related fields. He is also a prolific angel investor in early stage companies in the sector, including: Hermeus, Xona Space, Albedo, Near Space Labs, Slingshot Aerospace, and AirWorks. Immediately prior, for over a decade, he served as CEO of the United States Geospatial Intelligence Foundation.
Before USGIF, he spent over 20 years combined as an Infantry and Military Intelligence officer in the U.S. Army, and as a government senior executive civilian on the Army Staff and at the National Geospatial-Intelligence Agency.
He holds a BA in Political Science from Gettysburg College and completed the Post-Graduate Intelligence Program at the National Intelligence University.
He is the immediate past Chair of the National Geospatial Advisory Committee and a former member of the Advisory Committee on Commercial Remote Sensing. He’s currently a member of the Geographical and Geospatial Sciences Committee of the National Academies, a member of the Landsat Advisory Group; a Counselor and Fellow of the American Geographical Society; and a member of the Advisory Board of the International Spy Museum.
