John Scott is current COO and President of Ion Channel a company focused on software supply chain analysis, risk management and continuous monitoring. Previously he has previously worked with NSA, OSD, DISA, ONR, NSA, CIA and DARPA on projects involving the adoption of open-source software and software supply chain. He holds an MS in Systems Engineering from Virginia Polytechnic and State University as well as a BS in Mechanical Engineering from Lehigh University. Previous positions include senior positions in technology and research companies as well as engineering consulting roles and positions in the US Navy Carrier Offices. He has also publicly presented at many US Government and Defense conferences as well as O'Reilly & Associates technology conferences.
