Academic Support Services
  • With Armed Services Arts Partnership veterans rediscover the bonds of their service and become part of a community with common experiences through creative arts classes and workshops.
  • The Department of Military Science was established at the College on July 1, 1947, with the name “The Revolutionary Guard Battalion” and the assigned mission of qualifying students for positions of leadership and management in the United States Army and the civilian sector.
  • The Office of Student Transition Engagement Programs (STEP) supports the transition of students into and through their W&M community experience by helping to develop community while providing services, outreach, and support encompassed within year-round Community Initiatives and signature programs such as New Student Orientation and our Find, Form and Focus Your Experience (F3YE) opportunities.
  • The Office of the University Registrar supports the primary educational mission of William & Mary. We offer assistance and service to students, faculty, staff, alumni, parents and all other members of the William & Mary community.
  • The Lewis B. Puller, Jr. Veterans Benefits Clinic offers students the opportunity to assist veterans with filing claims for disability compensation with the Department of Veterans Affairs. 
  • The Posse Veterans Program identifies, trains, and supports veterans of the U.S. Armed Forces interested in pursuing bachelor’s degrees at top colleges and universities.
  • The mission of Student Accessibility Services (SAS) is to create access to educational opportunities for students with disabilities.
  • Student Veterans of America is the premier organization leading service, research, programs, and advocacy for veterans in higher education.
  • Access databases, books, media resources and more at Swem Library.
  • In partnership with the nation’s top colleges and universities, Warrior-Scholar Project (WSP) hosts intensive and immersive one and two-week college-preparatory academic boot camps for enlisted veterans and transitioning service members. Boot camps are offered in three disciplines: Humanities, STEM, and Business & Entrepreneurship.

Health Resources
  • Coaching into Care is a free service for families and friends of Veterans. Responders briefly assess your concerns and provide appropriate resources and referrals. Through 10 to 30 minute calls, licensed psychologists and social workers offer guidance and help for starting conversations with the Veteran in your life about their mental health or substance use and motivating them to seek treatment if it’s needed.
  • The Counseling Center at William & Mary offers a range of mental health services to students wanting help with personal concerns. Our staff specializes in the developmental issues and clinical concerns common to college students such as relationship and family issues, academic and personal stress, identity development and personal growth
  • The Department of Campus Recreation provides quality recreational opportunities to all members of the William & Mary Community to enhance and foster a lifelong appreciation for health, wellness and recreation.
  • The Greater Williamsburg Network of Care: A Guide to Health & Human Services is for individuals, families, active military, veterans, and providers to find comprehensive information about local and regional health and human services and programs.
  • Make the Connection provides information about being a  student Veteran, treatment options, self-help tools, and resources to help you overcome challenges.
  • The Real Warriors Campaign links service members, veterans and their families with care and provides free, confidential resources including online articles, print materials, videos and podcast.
  • VA Mental Health Apps equips you with tools and information to assist you in managing PTSD-related symptoms and stress, learning to practice mindfulness and strengthening parenting skills
Professional Development
  • American Corporate Partners (ACP) is a national nonprofit organization focused on helping returning veterans and active duty spouses find their next careers through one-on-one mentoring, networking and online career advice. Additionally, the ACP Mentoring Program which connects post-9/11 veterans with corporate professionals for yearlong mentorship. 
  • The Career Development & Professional Engagement offers career development programs, services, connections, and resources, empowering students to achieve their career goals.
  • Mission Continues empower veterans to continue their service, and empower communities with veteran talent, skills, and preparedness to generate visible impact. 
  • New Horizons Regional Education Centers trains and educates a competitive, future-ready workforce that is college and community-ready. 
  • Tribe Careers is the official online gateway to jobs and internships for W&M students and alumni.
