Classified Salary Structure

Classified employees are those who remain in the state's classified HR system. When the university was granted greater autonomy and independence from the state in 2009, employees at the time had the option of remaining a classified employee governed by the state’s human resources policies, or moving to being a university employee and following W&M human resources policies. (Note: A few W&M policies are also state policies.)

All employees hired since 2009 are university employees, not classified.

The below tables display salary structure information for employees who remain in the state's classified HR system.
