Composting On-Campus

Thanks to generous funding from Student Assembly, there are numerous public compost locations around campus! For more details about the our campus compost program, check out this interactive map brought to you by W&M Dining Sustainability.

 

Composting bins can be found outside:

  • Commons Dining Hall 
  • Richmond Hall 
  • Washington Hall 
  • Ludewell Apartments 
  • Sadler Terrace 
  • Sunken Garden/Tucker Hall 
  • Integrated Science Center
  • Campus Center/Marketplace 
  • Sorority Court  
  • Swem Library  
  • Randolph Complex  
  • DuPont Hall 
  • Botetourt Complex 
  • Green & Gold Village

What can be composted?

All food, paper products (i.e. napkins, paper boxes and plates), anything that says "greenware" or "compostable."

Please remove stickers from compostable items. If you have any questions, email greendiningwm@gmail.com!
