Resources for Students

Care Support Services assists all students, graduate and undergraduate, from their initial orientation to the university through successful completion of their academic and personal goals. Care Support Services staff advocate for student needs, act as liaison between students and academic departments, and provide support and challenges designed to enhance personal growth, as well as a sense of personal authority and responsibility in each student.

Reporting

We encourage you to contact us with any concerns about other students by using the Report Concerns or Violations site. Concerns may range from possible conduct or honor violations or concerns for the general welfare of a student. If you have an imminent safety concern contact William & Mary Police at (757) 221-4596.

Student Accessibility Services (SAS) offers a variety of services for students with disabilities.

Neurodiversity Student Group

The W&M Neurodiversity Student Group is an active presence on campus to encourage increased awareness and acceptance of neurodiversity on campus, to provide a venue for students who are interested in learning about neurodiversity and to allow neurodivergent students to meet others like them, socialize in a safe environment, and enact positive change.

Confidential Support
The Haven

The Haven is a peer-based confidential, welcoming, and inclusive resource center for those impacted by sexual violence and harassment, relationship abuse and intimate-partner violence, stalking, and other gender-based discrimination. The Haven is a place where you can go WITHOUT a report being made.

Financial Resources
HEART Fund

The HEART Fund exists to assist students who are dealing with extenuating circumstances due to financial hardships.

Financial Aid

Applying for financial aid can understandably feel overwhelming. The Financial Aid Office is here to help provide guidance to students on all of their questions and direct them towards the numerous resources that can help to make attending William & Mary a reality.

Bursars Office/Student Accounts

The Student Accounts department is responsible for the assessment, billings and collection of tuition, fees, meal plans, housing and other university charges. The department is also responsible for the processing of student refunds from financial aid or other account overpayments.

Food Insecurity

William & Mary provides comprehensive support for students by coordinating across the university and with local organizations to address food insecurity. This includes partnerships between Student Affairs, Financial Aid, W&M Dining, the Wesley Foundation (campus ministry), student organizations and local food pantries.

W&M Campus Food Exchange

The Campus Food Exchange in Sadler Center is a confidential program aims to provide W&M students, staff, and faculty with food insecurities and their dependent family members access to nonperishable food and hygiene products when school is in session.

Grief Support

Williamsburg Hospice House & Support Care offers many supports for those in grief.

Health & Wellness
Counseling Center

The William & Mary Counseling Center provides many student services including individual, couples, and group therapy. They also provide an online referral database to help students find off-campus providers.

Timely Care

Timely Care is a confidential virtual health and well-being platform available 24/7 for W&M students and full-time faculty/staff.

Fitness & Wellness (FitWell) Classes

There are many FitWell classes offered throughout the year including  Yoga, Cardio Dance, Pilates, Barre, Step, Cycling, Body Pump, Body Combat, GRIT, Meditation, Art Therapy and much more! Fitness & Wellness Membership is free for full-time students and includes access to FitWell classes and FitWell series. Classes are held at the Bee McLeod Recreation Center and at the McLeod Tyler Wellness Center.

Health Promotion

Health Promotion works to enhance the overall health and wellness of the W&M campus community through evidence-informed prevention efforts.

Student Health Center

Located in the McLeod Tyler Wellness Center, the Student Health Center provides a full-range of primary care services including the evaluation, treatment and prevention of all kinds of acute or chronic physical, mental and social health issues. All full-time students with a completed Health Evaluation Form are eligible to receive care at the Student Health Center.

Health Coaching

A health coach motivates and supports health behavior change through a structured partnership between the client and coach. The coach helps the client develop and realize their optimal health vision through inquiry, personal discovery, and accountability.

Campus Ministries United

Campus Ministries United works to connect students with people from their faith tradition. They provide a list of campus ministries and other religiously affiliated groups active at William & Mary.

Center for Student Diversity

The Center for Student Diversity serves as a vital link where students from diverse backgrounds can find a sense of community and everyone can learn about diverse cultures, identities, and experiences. They offer a variety of support and advocacy for students and are located in Sadler Center 268.
