Leadership Programs

Leadership Accelerator

Leadership Accelerator is a two-day program for Freshmen, Sophomore, and Junior students and is held in the Fall semester.  This program is designed to support campus leaders as they build a strong network with fellow leaders on campus.  Participation is limited to approximately 35 students; these participants are selected though an application process.

Regardless of your prior involvement on campus, we believe all people have the potential to be leaders.  Leadership Accelerator allows participants the opportunity to learn about themselves, deepen their understanding of leadership, and to apply what they have learned to impact positive change.  Through focusing on topics such as engaging diverse perspectives, emotionally intelligent leadership, resilience and persistence, we hope to help students expand their capacity for effective leadership.

Here's what past participants had to say about Leadership Accelerator:

“Leadership Accelerator taught me that I have what it takes to be a strong, confident leader.”

“I have changed my definition of what leadership is and realized there are so many more components to effective leadership than I had originally thought.”

“I can be an effective leader, and I can improve my competence in this role by working on very specific skill gaps that I was able to identify during the sessions.”

The Fall 2024 Leadership Accelerator Program will take place on:

  • Saturday, October 5 10am-5pm (lunch provided)
  • Saturday, November 2 10am-5pm (lunch provided)

Participants MUST be able to actively engage in BOTH days of the program.

There will be supplemental sessions in the Spring 2025 semesters; details will be shared with participants in late Fall.

The deadline to apply is Sunday, September 15 and notifications will be sent to applicants no later than September 22nd.
