Study Abroad Intercultural Inquiry Groups
Currently not accepting applications.
Do you want to enhance your study abroad experience, deepen your cultural reflection, become part of a small community of study abroad students around the world who remain in contact throughout the semester, and be able to showcase your intercultural learning? Learn more about intercultural communication and increase your ability to discuss your study abroad experience through a new pilot program!
This initiative stems from study abroad returnees expressing an interest in such additional reflection opportunities. As part of the pilot group, you’ll be able to shape the program for future study abroad students!
We plan to offer two cohorts:
- Sustainability Cohort: a small group of students interested in sustainability will be sharing reflections with each other from their sites related to this theme.
- Intercultural Reflection Cohort: a small group of students will be sharing their intercultural journey with each other as they are prompted on a series of individual reflection activities.
Time commitment
Variable depending on your interests, however expect a reflection prompt for 10 weeks of the term. Overall, there is a minimum commitment of 10 hours total during the semester, a planning meeting in prior to departure and a meeting upon return to campus.
