About the Fellowships
The Pamela Harriman Foreign Service Fellowship Award provides funding to support mentoring and professional development activities post-internship to extend students’ knowledge and skills in public service and diplomacy.
At least four awards will be presented each year with the exact award amounts depending on the projects proposed in the student applications. Typical awards will be $5,000.
State Department interns will be eligible to apply for a Harriman fellowship without regard to the geographic location in which they serve.
Fellowships will be awarded to undergraduate students with the requirement that at least one award be made each year to a William & Mary student.
In addition to individual Fellowship awards, there may also be opportunities for mentoring initiatives and related programs for students interested in pursuing careers in foreign service.
