Distinguished Lectures in International Studies
The Reves Center for International Studies is pleased to help support internationally-focused public lectures and performances. Funding is available to William & Mary faculty who wish to host distinguished scholars, artists and practitioners whose public events and visits will contribute to international education at the university.
Application Process
Applications for support are accepted on a rolling basis, but must be submitted at least one month before the proposed event. Approved events typically are funded $500 each. Faculty members may receive one award per fiscal year (July 1-June 30).
Invoices, honorariums, etc. for speaker events are processed by staff in the grantee's home department, program or school. Reimbursement requests must be submitted to the Reves Center in the same fiscal year in which they were expended. The Reves Center will consider grants forfeited if proper documentation is not submitted in a timely manner.
Publicity
Posting the event on the W&M Events Calendar or submitting it to the Reves Digest is a condition of receiving funding. We request that you post the information at least two weeks prior to the event. All publicity must acknowledge the support of Reves Center Distinguished Lecture funding. Any questions about publicity may be sent to [[international, the Reves Center]].
Any questions regarding funding may be directed to [[dralleman, Dianne Alleman]].
