Pre-Matriculation Test Credits
William & Mary grants Advanced Placement, International Baccalaureate, A-Level, CLEP and other credit according to the score requirements found in the Requirements for Degrees-Credit for Pre-Matriculation Examinations section of the Undergraduate Catalog.
Score requirements change each year and incoming students' scores will be assessed for credit in accordance with the catalog in effect at the time of their entry.
Entrants for the next academic year may consult the Pre-Matriculation Test Table (pdf) or consult the Requirements for Degrees section of the catalog.
Students seeking AP, IB, CLEP, A-Level, or other credit must have their official scores forwarded by the Educational Testing Service (ETS), International Baccalaureate Organization (IBO), University of Cambridge, AQA, or Edexcel directly to the Transfer Services Coordinator. Once your exam credit is posted, you may view the credits on your degree evaluation or by viewing your unofficial academic transcript on Banner Self-Service.
- Access Banner by going to myW&M, clicking the Banner button and logging in with your W&M Username and password
- Select Student
- Select Student Records
- Select Student Profile
- Then select either Unofficial W&M Academic Transcript or Degree Works
General Rule
In all cases, the examinations must have been taken prior to high school graduation or within six months thereafter, but in all cases before entering W&M. See the Requirements for Degrees section of the Undergraduate Catalog for full policy and rules.
