Video Conferencing Options
William & Mary has several videoconferencing tools available, each with their own advantages based on the specific situation. W&M IT recommends the following tools per scenario:

Teams allows for easy video conferencing with any faculty or staff member at W&M. The video conference can occur within a Team or directly within chat to individual users.
Zoom may be used for video conferences both internal and external to W&M. |
W&M Students |

Students have access to the Zoom Pro account, like faculty/staff.
Primarily used by students, but faculty and staff now have access to Google Workspace (Google Tools) which includes Google Hangouts, a videoconferencing service. |
Someone outside of W&M (you invite them) |

Zoom provides a simple, easy to share URL that can be sent to users outside of W&M. |

When another party or institution sends a link for a video conference, they are responsible tool selection.
You may have to install a small client of their video conferencing tool (ex: WebEx, GoToMeeting, etc.). |
Requesting Support
Videoconferencing support is available! Please allow a minimum of 5 business days for preparations. This will allow us to organize, plan, and test our systems and equipment prior to the event.
Should you need assistance under the requested 5 business days, please note that we will assist you in the best possible way that time allows, but may not be able to accommodate your request based on resources and personnel available. Equipment for self-use is also available to pick up for your immediate needs, if in stock.
