The 2026 D.C. Winter Seminars will run from Monday, January 5, 2026 to Thursday, January 15, 2026

Faculty Responsibilities

When teaching a course in the D.C. Winter Seminars, you are technically teaching a three credit course in the FALL semester (W&M does not have an official winter/January term). You will be responsible for teaching three prep-classes during the fall semester on campus in Williamsburg.

D.C. Winter Seminars Planning Timeline

January	Seminar courses confirmed for the following January
Late August	Student applications open
Early September	Campus Information Session for interested students
Late September	Applications close
Early October	Student offers extended
Early or Mid-January	Move-in, orientation, and academic overview/prep session
10 days in January	Classes 9:00am - 5:00pm (one day reserved for snow make ups)
Mid- or Late January	Last day of class, move-out
