Food Insecurity On Campus
Even on campuses and communities with strong resources and various dining facilities, students, staff, and faculty can often find themselves struggling to find a meal. And when someone is hungry, their educational attainment and lives can be dramatically affected. William & Mary offers two programs to support students with their immediate needs:
Campus Food Exchange
This confidential program provides W&M students, staff, and faculty and dependent family members access to non-perishable food items, personal hygiene items, and household items while school is in session. There is a location at the Wesley House as well as in Sadler Center room 157.
Emergency Food Support
W&M Dining and Care Support Services provides W&M students access to meal swipes that can be used in the dining facilities on campus. This anonymous program allows students to access the allocated swipes using their Tribe Card – the same way students on a meal plan access the facilities and make food selections.
