Decadence Beyond Borders in "Rich Kids: A History of Shopping Malls in Tehran"

Narrated and performed by Javaad Alipoor and co-star Peyvand Sadeghian, RICH KIDS loosely follows the ill-fated story of lovers Parivash and Hossein (the first, a middle-class girl, the second, one of the show’s eponymous #richkids) backwards in time, from its end in a car crash back to its beginning as seen on Instagram, the audience’s window into the couple’s narrative.

Through his dedication, Professor Palmer developed generations of informed, imaginative, and energetic theatre practitioners, sending dozens of students forward to pursue advanced study. His generosity as a mentor and an academic advisor are well documented, and his high standards inform the work of his students and professional colleagues today. His former students are now teaching, writing, performing and creating theatre all over the country.

‘Whitechapel Arias' is a new twist on infamous murders

Nancy Schoenberger, who directs the university’s Creative Writing program, has coordinated with Elizabeth Wiley of Theater, Speech and Dance, Ryan Fletcher of the Department of Music’s opera workshop, and Mary Eason Fletcher of the Applied Music program, to tell the story of the five women Jack the Ripper killed in 1888.
