Background
Abbie (pronouns: they/them) is a Visiting Assistant Professor of Theatre at William & Mary. They got their MFA from Michigan State University and their BFA from the University of Southern Mississippi. Abbie is a Certified Practitioner of Lessac Kinesensic training and a Registered Yoga Teacher (200 hours). They co-created the podcast "The Moment Before: An Actor's Warm-up Podcast" and have published in the International Dialects of English Archive (IDEA). They were an apprentice and then Resident Company member at Commonweal Theatre Company from 2015-2018, where they performed in the season and worked in arts administration. Abbie's past directing credits include The Penelopiad (MSU) and Untold Stories, a devised digital production (MSU). Favorite past performing credits include Pilot in Grounded (MSU), Creature in Frankenstein (MSU), Agave in The Bacchae (MSU), as well as Shelby in Steel Magnolias, Margaret in Silent Sky, and The Woman in Scotland Road for Commonweal Theatre Company.
