Advisor of the Year 2017
Robert Kohl is an Associate Professor in the Department of Kinesiology & Health Sciences and chaired the department from 2003 to 2008 (concurrent service on the Dean's Advisory Council). He obtained his Ph.D. from Texas A&M University and specializes in the areas of motor learning and motor control.

He is a frequent reviewer for the journal Research Quarterly for Exercise and Sport and is a member of the Cognitive Neuroscience Society, Psychonomic Society, Society for the Neural Control of Movement, and North American Society for the Psychology of Sport and Physical Activity. He served on the Arts & Sciences Committee on Degrees (2001-05) and on the department's Personnel Committee (1999-00, chair) and Concentration Committee (1998 to present).
