Normal Progress Toward a Degree
If you plan on earning your degree in four academic years without attending summer school, you must:
- earn an average of 30 academic credits and 60 quality points each academic year
- maintain a 2.0 cumulative grade point average
- maintain a 2.0 major grade point average
The typical academic year is divided into two semesters, one in the fall and one in the spring, and sometimes a preceding summer session. If you start in January (the beginning of second semester), your academic year consists of that second semster plus the first semester of the following academic year, as well as any intervening summer sessions.
