Summary
Waitlists have concluded to make the most seats available to students during the final add/drop period, reduce classes missed at the start of the semester, and to gain more flexibility to respond to student needs at the start of the semester.
Full Description
Below are answers to common waitlist and academic planning questions.
Why are waitlists ending?
Waitlists have concluded as of Friday, August 23 to make the most seats available to students during the final add/drop period, reduce classes missed at the start of the semester, and to gain more flexibility to respond to student needs during the final add/drop period.
What happens to the waitlisted courses in my cart?
Waitlist enrollment has been removed and you will no longer be on a waitlist. The courses will remain in your cart with a blue cart icon.
How do I complete my schedule and what if I need help?
Search for "open classes" using the "course status" dropdown menu in PATH. Since waitlists have concluded, if there is an open seat, you can register for it live during add/drop. Enter the term and search for courses by subject, CRN, course attribute (including COLL curriculum), or other criteria under the advanced search.
If you need additional support with finding course options after the final add/drop period opens, reach out to academicaffairs@wm.edu or see drop-in hours below.
I can't find an appointment with an advisor and I have questions, what do I do?
Advisors will host drop in hours on Tuesday, August 27 from 2:00-4:00pm. Staff & faculty advisors will be available for academic planning support on a first-come first-served basis during this time for brief (15 minutes) advising without an appointment. Check in on the first floor of Ewell Hall (main entrance facing the Sunken Garden).
Fall is my first semester at W&M, how does this work for me?
The registration process will stay the same as communicated in the Tribe Guide Checklist.
