Meet the Executive Board

The Peer Advisor Executive Board is composed of an elite group of senior Peer Advisors who collaborate with the Office of Undergraduate Academic Affairs to manage the Peer Advising Program. The board’s responsibilities include;

  • leadership of all Peer Advisors,
  • designing and facilitating Peer Advisor training, communication and marketing strategies;
  • programs, recruitment and retention of Peer Advisors;
  • teach College Studies course for Spring and Fall orientation;
  • plan, organize and participate in special events or activities that promotes William & Mary and serves the W&M undergraduate community.

Position: Recruitment and Retention Chair
Hometown:  Midlothian, VA
Major/Minor: Government/History Minor  
Future Plans:  Completing my Master's program for Teaching High School and returning to my old school Manchester High to teach for the rest of my career, potentially pursuing administration.
Hobbies: Taking walks around campus, listening to music, playing intramural sports (volleyball is my favorite), watching football, dancing (when appropriate), and hanging out with friends.
Fun Fact: I have had classes with two current NFL players, ironically both in my sophomore year of High School and College! They are Kei'Trel Clark and Colby Sorsdal.
A word of wisdom: Take full advantage of every opportunity presented to you, but dedicate yourself to what brings you joy. Never be shy to be yourself, it brings out the best crowd and the best version of you!

Future Plans: I'd like to explore a career as a paralegal and see where that takes me next.
Hobbies: Writing, drawing, birdwatching, folding origami, and watching movies (when there's time).
Fun Fact: My grandfather shook hands with a dictator.
A word of wisdom: Apply to anything that catches your eye, even if you think you’re out of your depth! It’s
great practice and you might be surprised with how far you can go.

A word of wisdom: Go out and do things! William and Mary provides so much world experience surrounded by so many great people, and if you surround yourself with great friends while doing things you love, you’ll have so much more success!

Fun Facts: I have a driver license but never drove after I got it. I speak Arabic with my family and mostly at home. I also learn other languages in my free time such as Turkish and Korean. I am also involved with Muslim Student Association, Student for Justice in Palestine, and the Flat Hat Photography team. Studying is important but what more is my mental health and well-being. So, to have some stress relief I take walk around campus and enjoy the nature. Hanging out with my friends for a movie night on a Saturday night makes the best of my week.
