Bio
Anna Roberts is an M.A. student interested in the antebellum United States (c. 1820-1860), especially free blacks, abolitionism, the West, and the intersection of those themes in St. Louis, Missouri.
Anna earned her B.A. in 2012 from Patrick Henry College, where her thesis explored the life and significance of John Berry Meachum, free black pastor, educator, and leader of St. Louis' black community. She is currently an Editorial Apprentice for the Omohundro Institute for Early American History and Culture.
